Refund policy

Changed your mind? Not stoked with your goods? Don't worry, we have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. We let you decide whether you would prefer an exchange or a refund.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. In the case of goggles, sunglasses or lenses, the protective film on the inside of the lens must be intact. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Please understand, we are a small business and do not yet have the resources to provide returns free of charge. Unfortunately you will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

To start a return, contact us at shop@nakedoptics.com.au with your order number and which item(s) you wish to return. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will unfortunately not be accepted.

Damages and Order Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately at shop@nakedoptics.com.au if the item is defective, damaged or if you have received the wrong item. We will evaluate the issue and make it right as soon as possible. Please provide the order number and if you can, photos, as this will speed up the resolution process. In the instance of defective, damaged or incorrect items, we will cover the return shipping costs plus any shipping costs related to replacing the items.

Limited Warranty
NAKED Optics products are warranted against manufacturer's defects for two years from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid only to the original buyer. A proof of purchase stating the purchase date is required. Lens scratches, damage as a result of severe impact or due to incorrect storage, and general wear & tear are not warranted against. Modification, misuse or replacement of non-NAKED Optics parts will void this warranty. The product will either be repaired or replaced, as determined by NAKED Optics Australia. This warranty does not affect the legal rights of customers under applicable state or national laws governing the sale of consumer goods.

Lens scratches or general wear and tear of straps, frames and foam are not covered under the limited warranty. You can order most replacement parts on our site. If you cannot find a part, please contact us shop@nakedoptics.com.au and we will be happy to help.


Warranty Claim
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

To make a warranty claim, please contact us at shop@nakedoptics.com.au with your original proof of purchase and description of the warranty claim. If  possible, please provide photos to support your claim. If we find your warranty claim is valid, we will either repair the product, replace the product or replace the faulty part(s). We will cover the standard shipping costs within Australia.

Please understand, if we require the product for further warranty assessment, you will be responsible for the shipping costs. If we find the returned product is a valid warranty claim, then we will cover any further shipping costs. If we find the warranty claim to be invalid, we will contact you to determine if you want us to repair or replace the product, including shipping fees, at your cost. 


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you wish to exchange and make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund amount.

Please note: If your original order qualified for a discount based on:

  • purchasing multiple items (e.g. bundle discounts), or

  • reaching a minimum spend threshold (e.g. "$20 off when you spend $200"),

and a partial return brings your order below the qualifying criteria, the discount will be forfeited. Your refund will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the new order value.
